Is hyperbaric oxygen therapy safe?
Yes. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used in medical settings for decades and is considered very safe when administered properly.
At HBOT Lounge, sessions take place in a medical-grade walk-in chamber with trained staff present. The environment is comfortable, controlled, and designed to support both safety and relaxation.
Most guests simply sit back, breathe normally, and relax while oxygen pressure increase inside the chamber. The machine is not pressurized oxygen so it is very safe. You can even watch TV or take a meeting while getting treatment.
2. What does a session feel like?
Most people describe HBOT as calm and deeply relaxing.
As the chamber pressurizes, you may feel a slight fullness in your ears, similar to what you experience during an airplane flight. This sensation typically lasts only a minute or two and resolves easily by swallowing or gently equalizing your ears.
Once the chamber reaches pressure, you simply relax. Many guests:
• read
• watch a show
• meditate
• listen to music
• nap
Many people say it becomes one of the most relaxing hours of their week.
3. How many sessions will I need?
Some people notice benefits after their first session, but HBOT works best when your body receives consistent exposure over time.
For deeper cellular recovery and long-term benefits, research and clinical experience often point to 20–40 sessions.
This is especially true for goals like:
